"In times of loss, one cannot review the relationship between the grieved and the departed. Insufficient levels of satisfaction abound with many additional measures that may have been taken to nurture the relationship no longer present. It is in times as these where reflection breeds a challenge to one’s own existence as judgment beckons the integrity of that relationship" – Allen, January 20, 2009

This picture was taken one week before her departure
in January 2009 as but one final reminder of the dog
that brought us many moments of pleasure.

Born on March 14, 1996, Natosha has delivered 4 liter and has displayed a loving and respectful disposition throughout the course of her life. She was entering her 13th year, having observed three male companions leave her presence during her lifetime.
Although she was experiencing typical age-related problems, her blood tests were overall within the normal ranges for her age. She was placed on pain and anti-inflammatory medications for a severe case of arthritis. Her appetite was not the best, and she had lost a good amount of weight.
On January 23, 2009 after many days not eating and losing more weight, Natosha left us. After Euri, her mate of eight years, passed away on December 29, 2008, we noticed a change in behavior. She had been the one dog that was among us the longest.

I had not expected the grief and sadness of such a loss; knowing full well that time was simply a waiting moment where her life would come to an end. Natosha shall be missed and her eagerness to greet me in the morning for her water, food, and treat will only remain a memory.

Natosha was quite active and always eager to please. She would run in stormy weather, bark with the thunder, and yet always seek to be in your presence and nurture companionship.
